C&M Engagement Photos

Not only was I able to photograph some engagement photos for this couple, but I am also honored to be a bridesmaid in their wedding next summer.  Cliff and Megan are two of my very best friends, and I couldn't be more happy that they have gotten together.

I have known Megan since the summer before 6th grade, so 18 years now.  I met Cliff while we were sophomores in High School.  Together, we have all been through so much and created many wonderful memories to reflect on for years to come.  Speed Bumps, an 80's Prom Party and San Diego Weddings, just to name a few.

I took these photos while I was home (Washington State) in June.  I love you guys, and I am so excited to be part of all this.

Knight Family in Old Town Albuquerque, New Mexico

Check out these photos of my good friends, The Knight Family.  This location was one of my favorite places to photograph in New Mexico.  I hope you enjoy them!

Baby Maya

I know it has been awhile.  I have been getting situated with the move and settling into my new home.  I have a few photos that I have wanted to post, and today I might finally get a chance to do so!  First, I want to post a few new photos of Maya!

Maya is a very sweet baby, who I feel so honored to know.  Her mom is a friend of mine, and our husband's were stationed together while we were in New Mexico.  Maya came into this world just full of surprises!! She decided to make her grand debut 14 weeks early, giving us all a scare.  If you do any web research on babies born before 28 weeks, it is amazing to see all the things they will have to overcome.  In my research, I found that less than 1% of babies are born before 28 weeks.  That right there makes Maya extra special!

Aside from all the obvious complications a child would have being born that early, Maya was born with a full cleft palate.  Maya is a fighter though, and she has overcome so much.  After spending the first 4 months of her life in the NICU, she was able to come home and spend time with her brother and sister.  I also got to spend time with her, and I would photograph her as much as possible!

The next set of photos are some of my favorites of Maya (Some have already been posted here in a previous post).  The last photo is from the day before we moved to Missouri, as well as the day before Maya had her first series of surgeries to repair the cleft.

(I had to get my daughter in a photo with the Knight Kids!!  It was her last day with them before the move.)

Mason's One Year Photos

Hi Friends!!  I know that I have been absent for awhile, but I am working on getting better at that.  There has been a lot going on with my family and me, which will be talked about in a different post.  For now though, I want to share some of my most recent photo shoots, starting with my little buddy Mason.

I first met Mason and his family when he was 6 months old. If I can find those photos, I will post them on here.  Mason recently turned one, and we went to a local park to try and get some more birthday pictures of him.  I will admit, he was not feeling photos this day like he was 6 months ago.  However, I think we still got some cute ones of him.  Even if he didn't want to smile!

Just saying Hello!

I know it has been awhile since my last post.  I just survived the tax season, and now I am hoping to get back out there and get some photos done.  I have a few sessions that I have been working on that I am hoping to post this weekend.   I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Military Wives

As military wives there are many things that we have to deal with in our lives. We form a unique bond and join together with for a support group. Inspired by an article about PTSD, the wives of Kirtland Air Force Base joined together to express our support for our husbands. These are the spoken words of the silent ranks. I hope you enjoy!!

**PLEASE NOTE: These photos are inspired from an article about battling PTSD. Not all of these photos follow those guidelines and are our interpretation of support and just being military wives. These photos are not meant to offend anyone, and my apologies if it does.**
