First Birthday Fun!!

My daughter has had three birthdays, and I never get to photograph them because I am always so busy making sure her birthday parties are perfect!  So you can imagine how excited I was to actually get to photograph the 1st birthday of my friends daughter, Harper.  I had the opportunity to just walk around and snap away.  It was even more of an honor to photograph her first birthday, because I have been photographing Harper since she was in her Momma's tummy.  Here are a few of my favorite photos from the birthday party.

Miss Maya

I would like to share three very special pictures with you.  The baby girl in the pictures is Maya Faith Knight.  She was born 14 weeks premature and with a cleft palate.  She is know 15 weeks old and just adorable.  I went to see her when she was just a few days old, and she was as big as my hand, weighing only 1.6 pounds.  Now she is in the 6 pound range and hopefully leaving the NICU soon.  Her mom is a friend of mine, and our husbands work together.  Seeing the strength that Chelsea, her mom, has had through all this has been amazing.  I am very proud of the Knight family.  I have to say this... Maya is DEFINITELY the most stylish baby in the NICU.  She always has a fancy headband on her head.  I absolutely adore this girl!!
